Hi Lovelies.
Instagram may just be the biggest social media platform to grace our screens this century so far and has been known to be the cause of negative mental health issues coming from mega unrealistic standards. From the time I started blogging in 2017 I had always known that social media as a whole, had a better side to them if you used them intentionally.
I make a point of it to regularly audit my feed. I am always on that Marie Kondo vibe, does this spark joy? If not, sorry to that account. If you want a more visual explanation of how to clear your feed, I've made a video that you can watch here
Now as I was saying, Instagram can be toxic, and in a generation where mental health is a primary concern, there is no wonder we can find resources catering to the millennial created by qualified mental health professionals, life coaches and many more to help us through this era.
Here I have listed my favourite accounts below :)
1. The Holistic Psychologist - Dr Nicole LePera
2. MotherWound Project - Community
3. Millennial Therapist - Sara Kuburić, Psychotherapist
4. Loving Me After We - Ginger Dean, Psychotherapist
5. Nedra Tawwab - Therapist
6. Alyssa Marie Wellness - Alyssa Lia Mancao, Therapist
7. Lisa Olivera Therapy - Lisa Olivera, Therapist
8. SitWithWhit - Whitney Goodman, Psychotherapist
It's also imperative that I let you know that they provide these resources for educational purposes to a generalised population, meaning that these resources may not always apply to you and your specific situation.
I hope this serves you.
Love
T.
